Miku Seasonal Menu

miku2Pioneering Japanese Cuisine and Warming Winter Desserts

Miku Restaurant launches an inspired seasonal menu

Dedicated to blending the freshest regional ingredients with cutting-edge culinary techniques, the Miku team has proudly mastered a delectable winter-themed menu.

Familiar and favourite dishes are complemented by a collection of new concepts including Ume Kappa Maki (a fresh cucumber palette cleanser), Ebi Age Maki (panko breaded BC Spot Prawns with fresh cabbage and blue seaweed) and Nabe (traditional Japanese hot pot featuring local halibut and shiitake mushrooms). The feel of the menu has shifted, allowing for Miku’s pride for its authentic Japanese roots to shine through; appetizers are labeled “Zensai” and lightly seared items, “Agemono”.

Emphasis is placed on the Omakase experience; literally translating as “to entrust”, guest’s preferences are discussed with the team, following which, Miku’s talented chefs create a personalized feast, featuring highlights from both the sushi bar and kitchen.

Regionality and spontaneity are key to Miku Restaurant’s Omakase. Valued guests have the chance to experience an impressive range of culinary styles and ingredients, while chefs indulge in their passions and skills with bespoke dishes, ensuring that no two Omakase experiences are ever the same.

To complete the meal, Miku’s two heralded pastry chefs blend their distinctive styles in an eclectic dessert menu. Featuring local chestnuts, almonds, hazelnuts and vanilla beans, the dishes are a warming treat to cold winter evenings.

With the run up to Christmas already well underway, Miku is offering a multi-course Omakase Christmas party dinner, for $60 per person. True to their distinctly diverse style, guests will enjoy a generous selection of innovative and traditional appetizers, plenty of their signature Aburi-style sushi and delicious desserts to finish.

From inspired Omakase banquets to tantalizing aburi sushi sharing plates, Miku’s winter and Christmas menus hold tight to authentic Japanese roots but demonstrates flair and elegance with signature techniques and desserts.
