You know what? It’s not really last minute as you have three days to plan something, four if you count the day of, in case you are really that last minute. Mothers and mother figures deserve some love, every day, but someone decided that their better be one particular day to be sure the love was felt, and that’s fine by us! Farina a Legna
A special Mother’s Day Picnic Basket for Two will be available from Farina a Legna to enjoy with mom in your favourite green space. Priced at $65, the basket comes with your choice of Charcuterie (meat and cheese, or simply cheese), Pickled Vegetables, Olives, Focaccia, House-made Jam, Grainy Dijon, Cicoria Insalata and two beverages of your choice (Aperol Spritz, Lurisia Soda or Cider).
The basket comes with two vintage glasses, plates, napkins and utensils so you’re ready to head straight to the park!
Heritage Asian Eatery
Heritage will be offering a special takeout package for four people for $88, available Saturday May 8 and Sunday May 9. Pre-orders are highly encouraged and can be placed on the Heritage website, with all pre-orders receiving a complimentary jar of Heritage’s XO Sauce (a perfect gift for mom!) Delivery will also be available via Doordash, Uber Eats, and Fantuan.

Savoury City will be offering two take-home options for Mother’s Day – an afternoon tea and a brunch kit. The Mother’s Day Brunch Kit feeds the whole family and includes a menu of hearty breakfast staples like quiche, Lyonnaise potatoes and salad, complemented with house-made scones, and a dozen assorted sweet treats for dessert.
For more intimate gatherings, or afternoon celebrations, the Afternoon Tea will delight with a selection of eight savoury and four sweet bites per person. Priced at $40 per serving, the package can be easily scaled to accommodate tea parties of all sizes.
Both packages will be available to order at on the Savoury City websiteuntil Thursday, May 6 at 4 p.m. for pickup on Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Delivery is also available within the Vancouver area for an additional fee, and custom delivery options are available upon request for regions outside Vancouver.
Nuba
Nuba will be bundling their popular Feast and Grand Feast mezze sampler platters with a bottle of prosecco and 1/2 litre of orange juice to help you take care of a special Mother’s Day meal with the whole family at home. Both Mother’s Day package options will feed two adults and two kids.
La Feast is a vegetarian mezze platter, including Nuba’s beloved Najib’s Special cauliflower, falafel, mjadra, vegan stew, fattoush salad, pita, hummus, baba ghanooj, olives, pickles, taboulleh, hot sauce, tahini and tzatziki, priced at $90.
La Grand Feast subs out the falafel, mjadra and vegan stew for roasted potatoes, beef skewers, spiced prawns and chicken skewers, and is priced at $120.
