Don’t miss YEW’s take on the 11th annual Dine Out Vancouver restaurant festival.  Tourism Vancouver’s uber popular celebration of eating out. Executive Chef Ned Bell has created a fantastic three-course, prix-fixe menu for food lovers for an amazing value at $38.  We’re also excited to offer gourmands the opportunity to embellish their meal with some irresistible add-ons!  And, of course, YEW sommelier, Emily Walker has selected some beautiful wine pairings to complement each dish from BCVQA and international wineries.

Our mouth-watering menu will go live on the YEW and Dine Out Vancouver website as of January 7. We are excited to offer a selection of four starters, four entrees and two desserts on our $38 three-course menu.

YEW’s DOV diners are in for some delicious flavours – think creamy lobster soup, juicy local scallops, organic chicken with BC Spot Prawns, and beef tenderloin with luxurious add-on options like seared foie gras and truffle béarnaise.  We can’t say much more but we promise it’s going to be delicious!

Breakfast & Snacks
Ned Bell’s famous (and gluten-free) Power Cookie is the perfect breakfast on the run, especially when paired with one of our YEW-to-go gourmet coffees.  Our in-house blend, Moja Coffee, is the perfect foil for the healthy cookie that is packed to the brim with ingredients like BC Cranberries and Blueberries, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin and Sunflower Seeds, Local Honey, Chia & Flax Seeds and Oats.

YEW’s Quinoa & Honey breakfast has been a break-out hit since it debuted on the menu earlier this year.  As good for you as it is delicious featuring Warm Red & Golden Quinoa, Dried BC Cranberries & Blueberries, Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds, Hazelnuts, Local Honey and topped with Cottage Cheese or Yoghurt.

YEW’s Own Custom Canned Ocean Wise Albacore Tuna
You liked it so much we had to make more!

In a partnership with Organic Ocean, one of Vancouver’s best known sustainable fisheries, we invite guests to enjoy a taste of YEW at home. YEW’s tuna is ultra-premium, albacore tuna that has been sustainably caught off the coast of Vancouver Island and canned with no additional ingredients. It’s as good and honest as it gets.

Great in salads and sandwiches the tuna is rich yet light and firm. Try them with Chef Ned Bell’s recipe for Green Goddess dressing, a perfect way to add zip to this amazing tuna.

Chef Ned’s Green Goddess Dressing
Ingredients
2 whole medium size ripe Haas avocados, peeled and pitted
1 tbsp arugula
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp chives
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
½ low fat sour cream
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sea salt
1 tbsp cracked black pepper

Method
Purée everything in a Vita Mix Blender.
Check for seasoning and adjust with sea salt and pepper to taste.

Applications
This spread is fantastic with YEW Albacore Tuna on a sandwich.
It is also great as a dressing on any mixed greens or lettuces, as a dip for vegetables.
Try it with a chilled potato salad, your favorite pasta salad or cooked quinoa – of course with YEW Albacore Tuna flaked in!
