“Orange You Glad It’s Halloween” Cocktail with Mandarins from Chile
Mandarins from Chile are in season and we could all use a little more Vitamin C for immunity right now. I’ve whipped up a simple cocktail that was heavy on the orange colour and flavour with some gin, Aperol, Chilean mandarins, lime, soda and salt.
Orange You Glad It’s Halloween
3 oz Gin (I like to use local, perhaps Tempo Craft Gin, but please yourself)
1 oz Aperol
Juice of 2 Chilean Mandarins
Juice of 1 lime
2 eggs whites
6 ice cubes
Sprinkle of red sea salt
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake, shake, shake! Pour into cocktail glass, let settle and top with a sprinkle of salt and perhaps a skewer of BC Cranberries.
