Unleash Your Senses at Science World’s 7th Annual Science of Cocktails: A Night of Libations, Science, and Surprises!
Science World, a non-profit organzation, is thrilled to announce the return of its largest fundraising event, the 7th annual Science of Cocktails, on Thursday, April 11, 2024. This soiree, held at the beloved institution, promises to be a night like no other, blending the best of Science World with the unparalleled creativity of the city’s food and beverage industry. Eventgoers will have the chance to sip and savour while exploring exhibitions with other 19+ adults. Tickets are on sale now at scienceworld.ca.
As you enter the colossal cocktail laboratory inside Vancouver’s iconic dome, prepare to embark on an extraordinary adventure. More than just an event, Science of Cocktails is a flavour-filled journey that seamlessly combines taste sensation with scientific spectacle. Imagine 30 vibrant cocktail stations where award-winning bartenders fuse mixology and science in a dazzling and delicious display. But that’s not all guests who will also indulge in delectable food samples at a dozen culinary stations, expertly prepared by local restaurants and catering companies. It’s a feast for the senses where taste and science collide most spectacularly.
The evening provides engaging demonstrations, mind-bending science activities, and specialized Science World programming. It’s the coolest, nerdiest celebration of science in town.
“While this event is one of the most anticipated evenings in Vancouver, more importantly, Science of Cocktails plays a pivotal role in supporting students, teachers, and families across British Columbia by providing free access to Science World,” says Nancy Roper, VP of Development and Government Relations at Science World. “The event proceeds directly support Science World’s Bursary Program, ensuring that tens of thousands of individuals, including students and teachers from under-resourced schools, refugees, newcomers, immigrants to Canada, people living with autism, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing financial barriers, can benefit from the wonders of Science World.”
The Bursary Program extends its reach to collaborate with various BC communities and organizations currently underrepresented in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts + design, and math) fields. By removing barriers for girls, LGBTQ2S+ learners, Indigenous Peoples, and more, Science of Cocktails continues to champion inclusivity in expanding STEAM education.
Science of Cocktails has raised over $1,500,000 in the past six years and aims to add another $289,900 to that remarkable sum this year. Join us for an unforgettable evening of science, cocktails, and community support!
