September 14 – Best Catch Sustainable Seafood Festival

Celebrate the bounty of the ocean in the historic fishing village of Steveston, during the second annual Best Catch Sustainable Seafood Festival on Saturday, September 14. Hosted by the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, this free community event promotes the value of making ocean-friendly seafood choices, in the unique setting of Canada’s largest active fishing port. The event will feature live cooking demonstrations from the experts, including celebrated chef, cookbook author and writer Karen Barnaby. There will also be canning workshops, live music, children’s activities and more – all with the goal of promoting the best catch and the best taste.
