Granville Island’s vibrant, bustling Sandbar Seafood Restaurant will soon welcome Lou Mihailides as their new General Manager.

Lou joins the Sandbar with an impressive background in service and hospitality, most recently as the Lower Mainland Territory Manager for a boutique wine import company. Before delving into the world of wine, Lou co-founded, owned and operated the Rex Rotisserie and Grill. For 12 years, Lou managed and grew the successful Vancouver restaurant in the downtown hotel district, while building a strong, loyal clientele. Prior to this, Lou’s Vancouver restaurant history included service and management tours at the Century Grill (now Blue Water Café) and Joe Fortes.

“We’re very excited to have Lou come on and run The Sandbar,” says Darren Gates, Chief Operating Officer and the Sequoia Company of Restaurants, “His service expertise and long-standing relationships with Vancouver customers will certainly be well received.”

A leader in service skill and training, Lou will join the Sandbar team in continually providing a high level of service and hospitality to their loyal customer base. Stop by The Sandbar soon and meet their newest team member and General Manager, Lou Mihailides.
