Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn Hosts the Macallan Whisky for A Unique and Rare Week-End

Dubbed “The Rolls-Royce of Single Malts”, The Macallan will make its way west to Tofino’s iconic Relais & Chateaux property, the Wickaninnish Inn, on March 5th for the very first whisky-themed week-end at the Inn, appropriately named Whisky at the Wick.

Whisky at the Wick, the two-night vacation package, is designed for whisky lovers to appreciate The Macallan in the unmatched ocean and beachfront setting of the Inn.   J. Wheelock, Canadian Brand Ambassador for the centuries-old Scottish distillery, will travel to the Inn to host an afternoon tasting of five premium Macallan whiskies, including Macallan 15 Years Old, 18 Years Old and 21 Years Old.  Later that evening, Chef Nick Nutting and the acclaimed kitchen brigade of The Pointe Restaurant will prepare a four-course Scottish-themed dinner for an intimate group of twenty.  While three courses will be served with boutique BC wine, dessert will be paired with The Macallan Amber Single Malt Liqueur.  The highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of a unique and rare bottling from Wheelock’s personal collection for guests to enjoy as a special night cap.
