Terra Madre is a gathering held every two years to stand in solidarity with a good clean and fair food system in the face of many challenges.
Locally our 2011 Terra Madre Day Theme is
The Joy of Preserving… food, knowledge and traditions
Come support one of the newest members of Slow Food at the Christmas Market this year!
The Old Tea Haus is from Vienna, Austria, and have been organic tea specialists since 1988. Come by and try some ‘Advent Christmas Calendar Tea’ or ‘Dancing Stars Tea.’
Slow Food Vancouver, in collaboration with FarmFolkCityFolk, is raising funds to send our local producers to Turin, Italy for Terra Madre 2012. Our representatives will be inspired, supported, energized and will stand in solidarity with a global movement, committed to the preservation of food cultures. This strengthens relationships between producers and co-producers, good clean and fair food policy and application. Donate online.
