Watermark Resort Anniversary Stay

What’s not to love about Osoyoos? There’s the lake, wineries, delicious winery restaurants nearby and great accommodations, including Watermark Resort with spectacular views of Osoyoos Lake, and the surrounding mountains.

We did a spring getaway before the lushness of summer colours settled in, but we like it when it’s cooler there as summer temperatures can be a bit testing. Although, with air conditioning and that pool on site, cooling off is not a problem.

There are kitchens full of everything you need to cook your own gourmet meals, groceries nearby, and plenty of wine glasses should you have some company over to share a bottle or two that you picked up along the way. Nearby wineries include Burrowing Owl, with a wonderful onsite restaurant, Mooncurser, Nk’ Mip Cellars, Le Vieux Pin and many more.

We opted to dine at the onsite 15 Park Bistro and had a delightful dinner.

The flatbread with pears was wonderful as well as the sablefish and steak. The menu changes seasonally and there’s some great seafood currently listed, Port Alberni Halibut, and a Pistachio-Crusted Rack of Lamb, along with the steaks that are a staple on the menu. There’s lots of local wine and beer on the menu, and the service is very attentive.

Unfortunately, we had to run off early in the morning to get up to Kelowna to see my parents, so we didn’t stay at Watermark Resort for very long, but we will return, next spring, or fall once it cools down a bit!
