This week has been a bit crazeballs! I’ve had a ton of client work and then events and more events that I just had to go to. Thankfully the weekend is slowing down, at least for me, but there’s a few things I wouldn’t miss.

VCBW Beer Festival | Saturday, June 3, 2017 | PNE Fairgrounds

The eighth annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival is back at the historic PNE Fairgrounds on June 3 and 4 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, featuring 100 craft breweries and cideries pouring more than 300 beers and ciders. In addition to Canada’s largest selection of craft beer and cider offered in one place, the VCBW Festival features art installations, live music, DJs, food trucks, market stalls, brewing demonstrations, a games area with pinball and foosball, a pop-up barber shop, and more. Named ‘Vancouver’s Best Beer Event’ (Georgia Straight Golden Plates, 2013–2017) and ‘Social Event of the Year’ (2016 Golden Owl Awards). ROSE TASTING JUNE 3

June is Rosé month and Wines of Provence kicks-off this celebration with a free tasting of Provence Rosés at the 39th & Cambie Signature Liquor Store (5555 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC) on Saturday, June 3 from 2-5pm.

This free tasting features Wines of Provence Rosés from appellations including Côtes de Provence, Côteaux Varois en Provence and Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Provence-inspired canapés will be provided by Chef Dino Renaerts of Bon Vivant Catering Group to showcase the art and beauty of Provence.

BC Greenhouse Veggie Days

BC Greenhouse Veggie Days will be held May 26-June 3.  It’s a time to promote buying local and celebrating the fresh, nutritious veggies that can be found in our own backyard.

Head out to a greenhouse farm tour on Saturday, June 3 for a look ‘behind the glass’.  Visit one (or more!) of the following greenhouses between 10-2:

BC Greenhouse Veggie Days celebrates the annual springtime arrival of locally grown greenhouse veggies from BC’s 42 Greenhouse Growers located throughout the Lower Mainland. During the long, dreary winter months our greenhouses are full of activity as new seedlings mature into ripe crops. The fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce and more are harvested and arrive in stores with the spring.
