Win a Medal, Win a Pizza at Campagnolo Restaurant

campgnoloAs Olympic fever builds in Vancouver, Whistler and across Canada, Campagnolo Restaurant announces its medal-inspired pizza features, which are bound to ignite Olympic spirit with every bite.

Throughout the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Campagnolo’s wine bar will show sporting events on its big-screen TV. If a guest has ordered one of the pizza specials and a Canadian athlete wins a gold, silver or bronze medal (while the guest is in the restaurant) in any sport that matches the namesake pizza that the guest ordered, that guest’s meal is on the house.

Campagnolo’s signature pizzas are made with Italian “00” flour, the finest grind of Italian flours. The Margherita (fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil), the Salsiccia (fennel sausage, chilies and parmigiano reggiano) and the Funghi (chantrelles, fontina and organic egg) pizzas have a signature ‘bite’ like no other pizza in the city. Campagnolo knows that pizza and beer are a match made in heaven and have paired their pizza features with specialty brews.

The Bronze feature includes a margarita pizza paired with R&B Lager for $14.50; the Silver feature includes a Salciccia Pizza paired with R&B Raven Cream Ale for $15.50; and the Gold feature includes a Funghi Pizza paired with a bottle of Menabrea Italian Lager for $16.50. The Olympic pizza features at Campagnolo are available January 1, 2010 until March 31, 2010.

Located on Main Street, Campagnolo is located only five minutes on foot from the Olympic village, and will be a regular haunt for athletes or those looking for a high-carb reprieve.

Buzzing with activity and laughter, Campagnolo serves affordable, casual Italian dining in a welcoming space. Though spacious and open, the atmosphere is warm and intimate in the 65-seat open dining room and beautiful, 25-seat wine bar. A cozy respite with a glowing bar, the wine bar is the ideal locale for sipping delicious cocktails, watching the Canucks game, or sampling Italian fare with friends after work or on the weekend. Serving food until midnight Sunday – Thursday and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, the wine bar is the perfect spot for an early dinner or late-night bite.

Campagnolo is open for lunch Monday – Friday from 11:30am – 2:30pm, brunch on Saturday & Sunday from 11:30am – 2:30pm, and dinner nightly from 5pm. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis, and reservations are available only for parties of eight or more. Campagnolo is located at 1020 Main Street, Vancouver BC.
