Wine Club, Dine Out Vancouver & More – LIFT Jan 2012 e-News

Steve’s Wine Club

From beginners to connoisseurs, all wine lovers have one thing in common – a desire to discover more.

And as our Wine Director, resident Sommelier and grape aficionado Steve would say, “Learning about wine is about tasting and trying new tastes.”

For a fun, interactive and unpretentious wine tasting experience, check out Steve’s Wine Club. The next event is Tuesday Jan. 17 from 5:30 to 6:30pm when It’s All About Bubble, Darling – a champagne filled evening featuring some unique sparkling wines paired with complementary nibbles.

At just $25, it’s a great way to raise a glass after work, meet some new people and actually learn something while quaffing.

Space is limited so reserve now to book your seat at Steve’s table.

In honour of 2012 we’re celebrating bubble with a line-up of Sommelier Steve’s favourites including Bruno Paillard Brut Rosé Première Cuvée, a fruity yet beautifully dry champagne from the Reims wine region of France.

The story goes that Bruno Paillard was a Champagne loving grape grower with wine lineage dating back to 1704 when as a young man in 1981, he went maverick on French tradition and starting producing Champagnes with not only his own small yield of grapes but also the surrounding cru vineyards.

Like an orchestrator of the region’s greatest grape hits, Bruno has been breaking the mold ever since with award winning champagne blends.
