What’s Up In The Wine World This Week
We’ve decided to do a round up of what’s going on in wine in and around the city, province, country or world, depending what lands on our radar. Good Wine Gal, Barb Wild and I will curate this weekly list, so feel free to email us with suggestions of what to include. We’ll add to during the week as time permits.

Regional:
BC Wineries set to re-open. What will your next visit look like? Here are some of the key recommendations: encourage outdoor experiences; educate more consumers about B.C. wine (I’m all about this); more intimate relationships with your favorite wineries and wine makers; tiered tastings experiences, (tastings of varying length, complexity, to attract a wider audience); more control over the flow of visitors; where they go, while respecting social distancing protocols. https://www.vicnews.com/news/pandemic-an-opportunity-for-b-c-wineries-to-reset-reinvent/
International:
My favorite beverage is in trouble. That’s why I’m going to start up classes on “Champagne and other bubbly sips!” First it was declining numbers in France, then it was Brexit, then is was US tarrifs and now pandemic. How much more can these lovely bubbles endure. I for one am going to do my best to reverser this and still find a way to introduce the growing and fabulous bubble producers of the Okanagan. MORE HERE.
Stay tuned:
