Zinck Cremant Brut d’Alsace: For this white crémant, Philippe Zinck has chosen three grape varieties of different vintages, all particularly suited to sparkling wine: the Pinot Blanc and the Pinot Noir, which confer a certain strength and richness to the crémant, and the Chardonnay, which lends its fresh fruitiness. Both light and full-bodied, with a biscuity bouquet of exotic fruit and apricots, this crémant can be served as easily with aperitifs as desserts. It surprises and pleases the palate thanks to the ?ne bubbles that rise gracefully to dance on the tongue.
Zinck Portrait Pinot Blanc 2007: Soft, supple and sexy this is an easy going all-rounder to invite to dinner. A perfect Pinot to accompany all kinds of foods with a fresh and versatile appley ?avour balanced with mineral notes.
Zinck Grand Cru Pfersigberg Riesling 2007: A subtle fruitcake aroma, with a touch of acacia honey. Fruity, fresh and exotic, it’s approach is direct and dry, with strong structure and a persistent ?nish. An excellent accompaniment to scallops, lobster, cray?sh and ?sh served with sauce.
Zinck Portrait Gewurztraminer 2007: A hint of exotic fruit, rose petals, spice and minerals. Intensely fruity with lychee, mango and violets with a dry, rich finish.
Located in Eguisheim, the cradle of Alsatian winemaking, Paul & Philippe Zinck have established a special place in the region. This father and son duo have found, in essence a balance in winemaking, between traditional craftsmanship and the contributions of new techniques. Since it’s founding in 1964, the winery has continually improved and modernized it’s equipment as well as the quality of it’s output, all the while remaining ?rmly committed to the values of a family business. Today, Zinck produces quality wine whose character is enhanced by the pure vini?cation process. In 2002, a new line of Grand Crus made it’s ?rst appearance in a catalogue already rich with it’s other ranges of wine: Portrait, Terroir and Cremant d’Alsace.
Philippe Zinck: A modern innovator moving readily with the times, Philippe Zinck enriches the profession with his competence in oenology as well as his knowledge of vini?cation methods used not only in other regions of France, but also abroad. Philippe took over the vineyard in 1997.
