BC Women Brewers Brew Up a Unite Pale Ale for International Women’s Day

pink_boots_logo2011 – In British Columbia, there is no shortage of women in beer, so when the Pink Boots Society in the US called for a collaboration brew, a group of Victoria female brewers answered. On International Women’s Day, the group will meet to brew up a special Unite Pale Ale to raise the profile of women in the industry and of beer to women.

Meeting in Victoria’s at Spinnakers Brewing will be Kim Marrington and Kala Hadfield  from Spinnakers, Claire Connolly from Dogwood Brewing, Becky Julseth from Salt Spring  Brewing, and some of the crew from Driftwood to brew up a  pale session-style beer

During Victoria Beer Week, the new documentary Women And Beer: The Love Of Beer will be screened on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a panel discussion.
