Thirteen of British Columbia’s top bartenders will be battling it out next month at Big White Ski Resort for their chance to be crowned cocktail champion. Guests to the resort are invited to join in the liquor libations at the ABSOLUT Bartender Showdown on February 2 at 7:30 pm in the Village Centre Mall.

ABSOLUT World: Big White’s 1st ABSOLUT Bartender’s Showdown

One of the world’s top vodka brands, ABSOLUT will be coming to Big White this year with an impressive prize package for the resort’s first annual Bartender’s Showdown. The winning bartender will be granted a week-long trip to the ABSOLUT Akademi in Sweden. With the prize package valued at over $7,000, the heat is on for the bar tenders to mix, pour, and shake their way to the top spot. Craft beer, world-renowned spirits, local and international wine tastings together with a mouth-watering array of food stations will complement the mixology magic and make for an unforgettable evening. Tickets for the event are priced at $50 per person and are available by contacting concierge@bigwhite.com.

Absolut-ely Amazing Weekend Special

To celebrate the inaugural event, Big White has put together a special package for those looking to make it a weekend getaway. Stay at the Whitefoot Lodge on the Friday and Saturday night, ski or snowboard for two days and enjoy the Bartenders Showdown event starting from $212 per person. Located only steps from the slopes in the heart of the village, the Whitefoot Lodge is also home to the resort’s deli, grocery and liquor store. For a more luxurious experience, from $268 per person, the 6-person Trappers Crossing includes 2-bedrooms and a den and comes complete with an outdoor private hot tub.
