The Chocolate Reception will be held in the Port Moody Galleria, in the City of the Arts.

This family event features activities for all ages. Upon arrival at 2 pm, Chocolate Festival partners will have samples galore for everyone to enjoy:

Rubens Chocolate, that fabulous artisanal, hand crafted chocolate shop from across the street in Suter Brook Village, will be sampling their delicious chocolates. For a special treat, try their house-made gelato.

Rowena’s Inn on the River, Harrison Mills, will be sampling Chef Michelle’s delicious pastries, chocolates, scones and more to showcase the menu offered at their chocolate high tea, and the River’s Edge Restaurant canapés and appetizers.

Quady Wines will be in the house, sampling Elysium, Essensia, and Starboard – their non-port. Andrew and Laurel Quady are flying in from California to meet and greet our guests, and speak to everyone about their wines.

Also available for sampling will be tea and coffee, Saturna Island wines, Desert Hills wines, chocolate martinis, and craft beers.

Kids and youth in attendance will have a special area that is all about them – organic chocolate milk, chocolate tastings, chocolate-influenced foods, ice cream, chocolate activities – the festival promises to offer something to suit everyone’s taste.

At 3 pm our guests will be invited into the 200 seat theatre, where guest speakers will entertain and inform. Local youth from various choirs, dance studios, theatre groups, and musical centers will perform for the next hour.

From 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, there will be more samples and tastings, interaction with sponsors, partners, and all things chocolate. Guests will be able to purchase products from our sponsors to take home with them.
