COMMISSARY NOW OPEN

Neighbourhood pasta shop will allow you to buy fresh Italian food from Andrey Durbach’s kitchen

We’d all love to have a chef as a next door neighbour. It’s with that concept in mind that the owners of La Buca, Cafeteria and Pied-a-Terre have opened Commissary, a perfect neighbourhood pasta negozio.

Located next to La Buca at 4025 MacDonald Street, Commissary is a fully functioning kitchen selling fresh pastas and ragus, bocconcini, burrata, breaded veal chops, custom salad dressings, coffee, olive oil, and gourmet salts and peppers.

The 140sqft storefront is simplistic in style, with white subway tiling and a display fridge filled with fresh proteins, pastas, stocks and sauces. The space feels just like a kitchen, and many will walk in to find ingredients being portioned and prepared for any one of Andrey Durbach and Chris Stewart’s three neighbourhood restaurants. A selection of fresh pastas and sauces will change daily.

Commissary is currently open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00am to 6:00pm at 4025 MacDonald Street.
