This class will include two flights of three wines paired with a tasty selection of international cheeses. Whether a pre-dinner plate or once the main course is cleared, wine too often becomes an afterthought. How does one match up wine with cheese? White wine…red wine, dry, sweet? This class will teach you that wine needn’t be an afterthought and the answer to the above questions is yes! You will learn the concepts and discover the fundamentals to the tricky, but rewardingly tasty world of pairing wine and cheese. Each flight will also provide the opportunity to mix and match all the pairings to see what works as well as what doesn’t, and discuss the theory as to why and why not. The session is designed to give every participant not only the theory and first hand, side by side experience behind cheese and wine pairing, but also the confidence and comfort to select their own pairings in a practical everyday setting, whether it be at home or in a restaurant.
