LOCAL CONFECTIONERY MOVES CLOSER TO VANCOUVER’S DOWNTOWN

Paul Croteau Confections Opens a New Retail Space on Main Street

Paul Croteau Confections will be opening a dedicated retail space at the end of September 2010, on the second floor at 1020 Main St, North of Terminal Avenue. The store is located directly above Campagnolo Restaurant, where Paul Croteau oversees the bread and dessert program as Pastry Chef. Croteau also runs the pastry program for Refuel Restaurant & Bar, as well as being the creator and maker of all the cookies and candies for Paul Croteau Confections.

Paul Croteau Confections has been selling macarons, a French almond meringue sandwich cookie with flavoured ganache fillings of seasonal flavours, and other sweets at a kiosk in Oakridge Shopping Centre since the beginning of August 2010. The final day of sales at Oakridge will be Sunday, September 12, 2010.

The new location will bring the retail side of the confectionery into the same building as the production kitchen, allowing for an even fresher product and more interaction between Croteau and his customers, including custom order consultations.
