The UBC Apple Festival is a family event for all ages. With many heritage, new and “tried and true” varieties available, apple tasting is one of the most popular activities at the festival. For a $3 fee, you can taste up to 60 varieties of apples, including Grimes Golden and Ambrosia. There are also demonstrations of grafting and cider-pressing, a children’s corner and the chance to enjoy apple pie, cider and other apple treats.
