Diageo World Class Canada Final During Vancouver Cocktail Week, March 5 to 11, 2023

After a spectacular inaugural event in 2022, Vancouver Cocktail Week presented by The Alchemist returns for a second round in March 2023.

Tickets

VCW 2022 featured sixty-five events over five days at some of the city’s most popular cocktail venues. In 2023, attendees can expect even more: more events, more national and international bar stars, more seminars, more brand sponsors, more cocktail-paired dinners and even more fun over a full week.

One of the highlights of VCW 2023 will be its new partnership with Diageo World Class Canada. This prestigious cocktail competition has elevated many of this country’s bartenders onto the world stage. World Class Canada will host its final national speed round at the closing gala, with previous winners flying in to host seminars and guest shifts throughout the week.

The gala is just one of the week’s signature events. This glamorous Prohibition-themed celebration of the city’s cocktail culture will be held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Pacific Ballroom and serves up live music, a DJ, quality food, more than thirty premium spirits brands and, of course, cocktails specially crafted for the event by top bartenders from Vancouver and beyond.

VCW 2023 kicks off with an elevated cocktail-paired brunch at Botanist at the Fairmont Pacific Rim on March 5, then follows with dozens of ticketed events held in Vancouver’s top bars and restaurants, ranging from seminars in the afternoons to evening tastings, master classes and more cocktail- and spirit-paired dinners than you can shake a cobbler at.

And everyone should take part in the (unticketed) Cinq à Sept series of elevated happy hours that celebrate food, drink, art, and community, many of them featuring guest shifts by out-of-town bartenders. Plus, there will be daily pop-up events including brand takeovers at the new Legacy Liquor event space.

Finally, no celebration of the community can go without supporting those who make it possible, especially when they need it most, so Vancouver Cocktail Week is proud to announce that a portion of ticket sales will once again go to our charity partner, the BC Hospitality Foundation, and its scholarship program.

Tickets for Vancouver Cocktail Week presented by The Alchemist, March 5 to 11, 2023, go on sale December 1. For tickets or to browse the Vancouver Cocktail Week 2023 program guide, visit thealchemistmagazine.ca/vcw/. The program guide will also be distributed at bars, restaurants and private liquor retailers around Vancouver starting December 1.
