Celebrate Fifty Year’s of the Canadian-Born Caesar at Edible Canada
50 years ago, Canadian Caesar was created by restaurateur, Walter Chell. Since that time, the Caesar has established itself as a true Canadian icon.
At Edible Canada, there’s always tradition with a twist. Instead of serving traditional Caesars, which normally contain vodka, a Caesar mix, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, a stalk of celery or wedge of lime, they’ve gone the extra mile to create some, unique Caesars that celebrate local, Canadian food and beverage at it’s finest:
Duck Fat Caesar
Classic Caesar is made with duck-fat infused Alberta Springs rye whisky
Maple Bacon Caesar
Stealth vodka, Clamato, Worcestershire, Sriracha garnished with a candied bacon and Amola Caesar Rim Salt
Dill Pickle Caesar
Our classic Caesar made with Spirit Bear dill pickle-infused vodka
For all of our Caesars, Edible Canada uses Amola Rimming Salt which is also available at their retail store on Granville Island oronline.
On MAY 16th IS CAESAR DAY – To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Caesar, there will be even more features involving shrimp, boar belly and a vegan version!
