Stella Artois searches Vancouver on quest for next Canadian Draught Master

This month, Stella Artois is holding its 10th annual quest to find Canada’s Draught Master. The Stella Artois World Draught Master is a global competition that celebrates the quality, craftsmanship and century-spanning heritage of Stella Artois in 31 countries around the world.

But mastering the perfect pour doesn’t happen overnight. Stella Artois has held Draught Master qualifying rounds throughout the Lower Mainland to teach beer aficionados about the Nine-Step Pouring Ritual and give them a chance to put their beer pouring skills to the test. To earn a top spot in the Stella Artois Vancouver Draught Master Competition, 16 beer fans from across the city will show off their technique at Doolin’s Irish Pub on September 17, 2010. The winner will advance to the national championship.

Pitting Stella Artois fans from across the country in a head-to-head competition, the national championship will crown Canada’s Draught Master on September 24 in Toronto. From there, the Canadian champion will go on to compete in the 14th annual Stella Artois World Draught Master Competition in London, England on October 28.

To learn how to pour the perfect pint of Stella Artois, please join us at the Stella Artois Vancouver Draught Master Competition at Doonlin’s Irish Pub at 7 p.m.
